Imperial Palace East Garden

Imperial Palace East Garden is area around main enclosure and the outworks of a castle of former Edo-jo Castle, and area is approximately 210,000 square meters. We open big cherry tree planting place of the downtown area in spacious space.

Yoshino cherry tree, stock of Prunus donarium (Sekiyama), forest of Edo higan are reflected in foreground set in lawn open space, and wild cherry tree blooms in grove of miscellaneous trees of Musashino, too. You can enjoy approximately 280 cherry trees.

In Imperial Palace East Garden, admission is free, but is prohibited from sports & drinking. Therefore it is rare that it is crowded and becomes little-known spot spot that can enjoy cherry blossom viewing purely.

Cherry tree of early blooming such as kawazuzakura is in full bloom from the beginning of March.

Opening hours ○From 9:00 to 16:30 (as for the admission until 16:00) /3 moon from 1st to April 14
○The end of from 9:00 to 17:00 (as for the admission until 16:30) /4 moon from 15th to August
Regular holiday ○Monday, Friday
But we are released on "holidays such as national holidays" except the Emperor's Birthday. In addition, we close Tuesday when Monday is released on holiday.

○It is one day of trouble for conduct of event, other unavoidable reasons
